FINANCIAL SECRETARY'S MESSAGE

October 10, 2006

This year's Local 513 Picnic was a huge success. Everyone really enjoyed that "good 'ole" Texas Bar-B-Que with all the trimmings.
The weather really cooperated giving us a beautiful sunny day to enjoy all the activities available outside while others opted for a cooler environment staying indoors to play bingo and visit with each other. We had a huge turn out of our Members and Retirees who spent time sharing their "old war stories".
Along with all the visiting Political Candidates that were present, we also had several Brothers and Sisters from the TWU A TD International in attendance.
Many of our Members and Retirees came up and told us how much they appreciated the day. It really made us feel good that so many of you took the time to tell us "thank you"...sure makes all the preparation worthwhile. All in all, it was a great day!
It is our hope that Local 513 will continue to grow and do well so we can enjoy more picnics in the future with more members in attendance.
We hope to see each of you at our Monthly Membership Meetings...check the bulletin boards at the Airport or check with your stewards for dates and times of the meetings.
