Working Women’s Committee Meeting

If you can’t make the times of the meetings, you can come by anytime during that day and someone will be there all day.

First of all we would like to thank all of those who helped out with selling the raffle tickets to help raise monies for the Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth for the homeless. We did an excellent job selling these tickets and purchased many items that were needed on the homeless shelter’s list. Some of us also went around to local hotels asking merchants for donations of the small sized toiletries. There was one hotel in particular that did not hesitate to make a donation. This hotel was the Fairfield Inn in Fort Worth/Fossil Creek. So, we want to give a big “Thank you” to them and the Assistant General Manager, Belinda, for their generosity. While we are on the subject of giving, we would also like to give a “Thanks” to John Coker who donated many bags of clothing for children and our very own Union Hall for donating an abundant amount of nicely used Christmas decorations. Please remember, homeless shelters are always in need of items not just during the holiday season.

We can do so much together as working women!! Let’s make this year a great one!!!!!
